Copy/Paste Effects in SimsUshare Fire Simulator Platinum

We’re really excited to unveil in Version 2.1 the copy/paste functionality that a lot of people have asked for. So imagine I’m editing a scenario and I make this smoke over here in this window but now I want to copy it to various other windows. Before copy and paste was available, I would have to go and find the original smoke, let’s say over here, go and scale it down––I’d have to make it exactly like whatever that thing was and it never quite was exactly the same thing. Now, you don’t want smoke to be exactly the same everywhere. But there had to be a better way. Now there is in Version 2.1.

Instead of having to do this copy and adjust all the properties, all you have to do now is to select the smoke or fire, whatever. In the menu is “Copy Effect.” I hit “Copy Effect” and now when I’m done here all I have to do is go to the menu and the bottom says “Paste Effect.” And there, now I’m all set, it copies the exact same thing. And I’m all done, I can go here and just keep pasting it to as many places as I would like to use it. Very simple. Of course, I can adjust the smoke after I’ve pasted it is well.

Now, paste just doesn’t only work with one item. If I’m actually at this where I’m editing at the top level, I can actually go to this, notice there’s “Copy Effects.” This lets me copy multiple things. We’ll go here and say let’s copy this Gray Turbulent, Gray Laminar, and I’ll just copy a bunch of these other things here. Now I’ll hit “Copy.” And now if I want to go to some other slide, I can just go back here and say “Paste Effect.” And there, all my smoke comes in. Very nice and I can go move it around.

Now, “Paste Effect” not only works inside the same scenario, but if I’m all done editing the scenario, I can go over to other scenarios and I can still go here and paste that effect. So it’s a really easy way to bring smoke or fire other effects that you created in one scenario, bring them exactly the same into another scenario very easily. This is going to be a real time-saver please email or call us with any kinds of questions about it.
