Getting Into and Around the SimsUshare CTC Web App

In this short video I’m going to show you how you get into the CTC web app and the major areas and functions within the app. First step is to go to ctc.simsushare.com. You’ll come up with this screen where you enter in the email address and password that we sent you. Press login. You come to the SimsUshare CTC homepage where you can access your exercises, which are multiplayer exercises you’re running currently, the simulations in your SimCloud––things you’ve uploaded––your account. Now also you’ll notice in the menu up here it says “Users.” Now, when you first log into CTC, your login is what we call an admin. So click on users here, you’ll see Jonathan is an admin. Admins can actually run exercises, can create additional users, can delete users, can upload simulations––all this kind of stuff. There’s another type of user called an organizer and you’ll see that when I hit create here, you’ll see user level organizer or admin. An organizer can only run exercises. They can view simulations but they can’t manipulate them. And organizers can’t also create users or delete users. So that way, you can make some people have the capability to run exercises but not touch the simulations in your account.
So if we now go, let’s take a look at Exercises, this is where you’ll actually create an exercise. This right here is showing you the current exercises that are running. Again, the user tab shows you all your users and you can create them, you can delete them by clicking on the user and then there will be a delete button, which you can do for any user as an admin except for the current user, the one you’re logged in as.
Simulations shows you your various simulations that are available, and here you can click on them and we’ll go into viewing the SimCloud a little bit more. You can preview the scenario, you can delete, you can add a scenario if you want to upload through the website, and so forth. We do have a help page which we’re fleshing out currently, and then your user page here is where you can change, if you want to change your email, your internal name, password, and so forth. That gives you a quick run through of the CTC web app. The next sections will go into detail in each of these major features.
